Epic, the new web browser has been launched by a Bangalore-based software startup firm. The web browser, which was completely made in India by the Indian software engineers, has much of its features focusing on Indian users.
Epic is available for free downloading from the Epic browser website. The website has been designed on open source Mozilla platform. Epic claims that it is the only web browser with anti-virus protection.
The browser has over 1500 wallpapers and themes covering various Indian subjects including Bollywood, wild life, sports and places that would add rich look to your browser. Epic contains latest local, national and regional news, live cricket scores, events, videos, stock news and music.
Epic has anti-virus software in it that would scan and fix it. Further, the browser warns of any potentially dangerous websites and has anti-phishing protection feature.
It also supports writing in Indian languages covering twelve languages as of now including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada among others.
The sidebar applications in the Epic has many applications including, Facebook, Orkut, Gmail, Yahoo, Livemint.com and Twitter among other applications.
